With the winter sale going on, I had finally decided to buy one--Fox Hime Zero--and play it through, expecting either broken English and fanservice or something completely off the rails like Mirror. After playing through the entire game, I have to apologize for assuming this would be the run of the mill anime thot cash grab.This game is a VN in the purest sense, there is only ONE linear pathway for the story, and NO choices. And I mean, NO choices, you'll spend a little under two hours reading and never clicking an option or being able to affect the story in any way. It is literally a visual novel. There are eight "chapters" to this VN, and there is an achievement for reading each chapter.... so basically just play the game to the end and you'll 100% it.As for the contents of the story, there is ZERO fanservice or suggestive content in this. Whether you were looking for comedic value or looking for a casual thot game, you'll be disappointed. The main character has a completely innocent and genuine relationship/friendship with the main girl, Mori, and that's pretty much all it's about. Nothing perverted is ever said by either parties and nothing suggestive every happens between them.... The most the MC ever did was kiss Mori ONCE and that was not even shown, and at the end of the VN he hugs her, which is shown. This game was completely innocent and pure, despite what anime VNs tend to be, and I was completely taken back by that.The translations are mostly solid, though had a few cons. You will be able to understand everything and for the most part probably wouldn't think anything was wrong at all. The issues I saw was more of a low writing skill, in the sense that the MC talks like this: I did this, then I did that. I did that next and then this happened.Basically, A LOT of "I" statements and explaining every action in a direct, boring kind of way. The other issue is that some direct translations, while not wrong, were a bit funny or odd. Like the MC referring to Mori as "that fellow" instead of "that lady/woman/girl", and strangers calling the MC "little brother" instead of the English version "boy/son".The premise of the plot is that the MC is doing field work for his uni major, involving him to live alone in the mountains and study the ecosystem and botany around him. There is a legend that says fox spirits live amongst the mountains, appearing to steal men's souls. Despite the ominous tellings, the MC meets a fox spirit, Mori, and develops a friendship with her only to find out that she lives amongst the mystic world and he lives amongst the physical world---meaning eventually they wouldn't be able to see or contact each other anymore and would have to return to their own realms. The story involves them developing an innocent first love and trying to find a way to avoid fate.The other girl shown in the screenshots is named Ruri and only appears in one chapter, in which she plays the role of the older, wiser fox spirit that the couple seeks help from. Outside of belittling the couple, nothing really happens with this character, so despite the screenshots and cover art portraying her as some sort of second option---she never is and has no interest in the main character, nor does he have any in her. The story is only about him and Mori.I would recommend this on sale, as this VN offers no interaction from the player whatsoever. But there was nothing wrong with the characters or story itself, was a nice romance read.. It's a lovely awesome story without any choice option.I liked that it's not about student like 90% of the visual novels. The graphics are beautiful, Mori and Riu looks detailed and I liked how they interract.If you want to read a nice story, than it's your vn! If you want to have choice options than leave this game.. So apparently, people still protect to what I call sleaze work; it's still poorly translated like pretty much ALL SakuraGame stuff, it's still runs on shady paid "lottery" promotions if we need more of them than raffles on Steamgifts, people still bait into their "refund" policy that is nothing but to look like good guys, and while I played trough this "novel", I was shocked to see so many "blank" expressions and sentences due to again, dangerously high use of Chinglish. I would just say that this novel is mediocore like it's prequel, especially with Valve trying to take them all down.However, that's not the end of problems; the company, AKA the publisher has shady history behind it's creation and practices; https://redd.it/78fw3s and especially comments pretty much shows that it's rather shadow and scummy, while trying to bribe people to drive attention away. This was pretty much the last straw at forgiving trash, misusing goodwill for more money, ripping off creators of their deserved money from their work, abusing Steam to earn more money and acting as "power to the players" to exploit infinite money of their cheap garbage, post poorly censored porn that is worse than Huniepop and whatever stuff. On top of that they also use copyrighted content for their games; again, it's not theirs, their work is devired from licensed JP and other stuff, while trying to make it as if that was their own. When they lowered the price of their first game, Super Star, which was a mobile clone of some JP game with stolen content on top of that, and refunded previous people, the popularity blew up, and reviews as well, but it's STILL a Chinese rip off of a JP game called Loveplus(no H content)along with stolen unlicensed content from other sources. How people can lower their standards and still protect this scummery is uncertain, but I know why.If you try to silence me, I will try another. If I can't, other people will rebel just like me if they know just as much. I will ensure that more people will know the truth behind it. Don't let people to fool themselves and forgive trash games that if Steam needs MORE of them. I can understand mediocore/diversed stuff, but Digital Homicide apparently teached people otherwise.... I love this game, it has such an amazing and beautiful story!♥. Entered with doubt and slight reluctance. Exited with a newfound affinity for fox girls and a sudden strong desire to become a natural history major. All jokes aside, I was thoroughly impressed by Fox Hime Zero. Being not overly fond of visual novels, I was unsure whether I would like this one. Turns out, this visual novel far surpassed my expectations and was most enjoyable. The art was beautiful and the voice acting was top quality, worthy of all my praise. The story was definitely interesting and smoothly paced. My only minor complaint is that there were a few instances where the translation could've been better. However, this does not take away from the experience at all and can easily be overlooked.All in all, a fantastic visual novel at a very fair price. If you're thinking of purchasing this, do it.. if you like visual novel its worth for you. Thats cute characters and good story. GLHF :). Short game with a touch of nice bgms and beautiful art.English translation is a bit clumsy. The story is rushed and could have been done better. Specifically it needs more contents.But overall it's worth it.. Can you call this a sequel? I don´t know. Two out of three main characters making their appearance in Fox Hime are here as well (Mori, Yan). However, the storylines are not connected otherwise. Yan is still an university student (natural sciences) and Mori is still... Mori...? Their relationship is different though and some of their characteristics as well.How does this compare to Fox Hime? As far as I am concerned, it is an improvement in almost every way. There are more (and better) animations, music is still amazing, art is more detailed and so on. The novel is still kinetic but it´s longer and the story feels more satisfying. If you liked the first game, I think you will like this one too (I like this one better). It was a pain to get the "main" song but it´s free and you can find it online. I enjoyed this one.The sexual content tag is here again. There is no sexual content as far as I am concerned. Not even ecchi (not that there must be). The reason for this tag is mainly the other fox, who has a cleavage (worthy of mentioning) and some pictures kind of focus on that. That´s it. Her breats do not serve any other purpose than fanservice I suppose, but it´s not porn, I wouldn´t describe it as ecchi either. It´s a little weird since no other character or any other part of the game is that explicit and they don´t do anything with her in that regard so both her cleavage and the tag are pointless. It´s pure romance and some inexplicable breasts. I don´t mind either.
