Train Simulator: LGV: Marseille - Avignon Route Add-On Download] [hacked]

Updated: Mar 17, 2020

About This Content The high speed railways of France, dominated by the iconic TGV® Duplex, are brought to life in the breathtaking new Ligne Grande Vitesse: Marseille Saint-Charles to Avignon-TGV route for Train Simulator.Construction of the LGV Méditerranée began in 1996, designed as a dedicated high speed line that spans over 160 miles to connect the South-East of France to the nation’s capital, Paris. The LGV Méditerranée extends from the end of the LGV Rhône-Alpes in Valence and terminates at Marseille via Avignon and Aix-en-Provence.Opened in 2001, the LGV Méditerranée is operated by SNCF® with TGV Duplex high speed trains, operating on the 25kV AC catenary system, capable of reaching 320 km/h. These revolutionary high speed trains slashed journey times to the South coast of France with TGVs now handling the vast majority of all journeys in France, covering some 750 km (470 miles) in around 3 hours – faster than some domestic airlines. The line serves a total of 4 stations, featuring three purpose-built structures, the Gare de Valence TGV, a uniquely built multi-level station allowing easy transfer between the high speed and local services, Gare d’Avignon TGV, made popular by its close proximity to Avignon city centre and Gare d'Aix-en-Provence TGV, allowing easy travel into the north of Marseille and Marseille Airport, accessible by regular bus services. The final station is Marseille-Saint-Charles - a terminus station previously built to serve the surrounding area and the French Riviera, access to this station is via the classic French main lines.Due to the undulating nature of Southern France’s terrain, the LGV Méditerranée features many steep inclines and declines, not to mention the impressive number of vast cuttings, tunnels and viaducts that traverse the landscape, the longest tunnel being over 8 km (5 Miles) long. Not only is the outstanding scenery a wonder to behold, the LGV Med. regularly sees 300 – 320 km/h operation providing a fast, reliable service with the beautiful southern France countryside flying past the upper and lower windows. The route is equipped with the TVM430 (Transmission Voie-Machine) signalling system, a revolutionary in-cab signalling system designed for operating high speed trains in high capacity. Conventional signalling is not practical for very high speed routes, as drivers have very little time to see and react to what flies past the windscreen. TVM430 displays information in the cab telling the driver what speed he should be travelling at, without the need for conventional track-side equipment.Included with the 100km Marseille to Avignon high speed route is the iconic TGV Duplex in SNCF livery.ScenariosBAL Signalling TutorialTVM430 Signalling TutorialMarseille Saint-Charles to AvignonAvignon to Marseille Saint-CharlesAix-en-Provence to Marseille DepotAix-en-Provence TGV to Avignon TGVAvignon TGV to Marseille Saint-CharlesMore scenarios are available on Steam Workshop online and in-game. Where are the Eurostar 374s & 373s?. Rode the TGV from Paris to Switzerland, Jan, 1985 Seemed fast, but not the reported 187mph (maybe 145-150). Couple of weeks later, rode back to Paris, fast as it seemed, suddenly sounding like a jet taking off.... we were travelling at 187mph. Looking at the passing scenery from the window, hurts your eyes as your brain cannot keep up with the scenery change, i.e., overpass, you see it in front, by the time you turn to look at your right, it's already gone. Weird, and wonderful. Glad to see this train on Train Simulator. thank the train gods.. The route is just over 90km and can be done in 25 minuits from Maseille to Avignon and is a bit short. Its very hilley and fun to drive.Pros Good detal on the route and trainGood sounds Good totorials on signaling Fun to drivelots of hills and tunnels Brakes are like a class 66ConsDynamic brake isnt greattrain can get very bumpy (Its worse than a pacer) over all worth getting 8\/10. Very good route, but again, not worth the money. Why make it so short? Marseille to Avignon is a super short route. Can't they extend it to Lyon: then it will be worth the money. And also, there are many TGV liveries which should be included in this: Ouigo, Camelion colour.... The TGV Train is great looking and the sound of it is really good. The route has very great scenery too.you can drive up to 320 km\/h which is really cool but it is a bit challenging to keep the right speed with all the gradients and alltitude changes. everything is good except there are some bugs, sometimes when a emergency brake turns on, the brake won't release and at some points on the route the AMP meter goes to 0, and your can't drive normally anymore. It dosen't have to be a bug. It can be a simulation of some kind of electricity saving system, but i don't know. If you just don't brake to much and release the brake in time, you'll be fine.. I purchased this route when it came out. The train was capable of ~346km\/h max sped with awersome acceleration. Since the last game update, it barely can reach the max line speed and feels powerless. Takes away the excitement. Please change it back or compensate. Btw the cab sounds are one of the best and the scenery is well designed. One of my favourites and I recommend it.. I purchased this route when it came out. As this is the first French based commercial add-on. I will give it a fair score. The add-on is well made and the detail is impressive and I like how the dual signalling is implemented into the route as on the LGV lines. You use the in-cab TVM430 signal display that is controlled by the blue and yellow coloured beacons that also dominate the speed limit permissible and also enforced speed limits that apply at areas such as LGV stations and terminal points such as Marseille. The second signalling type that is commonly used on the non-LGV lines is the KVB signalling that you will first use when driving from Marseille station. The TGV included with the route is the TGV Duplex which is a very nicely modelled train and the texturing is excellent all round and the train uses default controls unlike the other TGV route that is produced by JustTrains. So that is a positive note. However, I would have liked a TGV Reseau included as this would have added more value to the pack. Also the route being only 65 miles long (105km), it is a bit short as I would have liked the route to have extended to Valence and Nimes like the original 2002 LGVmed route that was made for MSTS did. But as this is the first SNCF themed product, its a positive start and I will give my summary below with a fair score.Positive PointsGreat Detail (Route and TGV)TGV is fun to driveThe tutorial scenarios are clear and concise for those that are not familiar with the SNCF signallingTGV Duplex has nice soundsNegative PointsOnly one trainNo TGV Reseau or TGV PSERoute should have been longerOverall Rating: 7\/10.Worth a try!All in all, I would recommend this add-on over the JustTrains Atlantic route as the TGV Duplex is a much better textured and a captured train in terms of its accuracy.
